Subject: Public meeting at Holborn Studios on Monday 6th July.

Dear Friends,

Our next public meeting will take place at Holborn Studios on Monday 6th July. The meeting will start at 7pm and the bar will be open beforehand.

We will hear about a canal heritage project that is being funded by a Lottery grant. We will identify ways that we can help with this project and we can also discuss how this type of project will help us to promote and celebrate the canal as we edge towards its bicentenary.

We will also hold an illustrated discussion about the various changes that have happened over the past five years. We can reflect on what we are leaving behind for future generations and no doubt this will spark some ideas for campaigns we need to focus on.

To put some of our issues into context please refer to the following article, which we and many others have contributed towards: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/jun/28/london-the-city-that-ate-itself-rowan-moore

There will also be room on the agenda for general questions and suggestions. If you want to share any of your concerns or ideas in advance then please send an email to friendsregentscanal@gmail.com

I look forward to seeing you on Monday or receiving your comments.

Best wishes
