General info
Welcome to the Angel Canal Festival 2023.
This free one-day festival, in the heart of Islington, offers fun for all the family. There are so many things to do today, from taking a boat trip along the canal or trying your hand at kayaking to watching the free entertainment or enjoying the street food.
This annual event has been running since 1986 and was established by the late Crystal Hale, founder of the Islington Boat Club and the Angel Community Boat.
This year we are celebrating the contributions made by the late Beryl Windsor, who was at the heart of this festival from 1996 to 2018. It is a community event that is being led by Sasha Keir, who worked tirelessly with Beryl over the years.
