Subject: Events in January.

Dear Friends,

Here are two events that many of you will be interested in attending over the next few days.

KENTISH TOWN LOCK OPEN WEEKEND

Kentish Town Lock has been drained and the public will be able to access it for the first time in its 195-year history. It will be open from 10am to 4pm this Saturday and Sunday. Nearest street-level access point road is Kentish Town Road (NW1 8AF).

PUBLIC TALK ON WATER-BORNE FREIGHT

Next Tuesday (26th January) Gerry Heward will give a talk about canal freight at the Primrose Hill Community Centre, 29 Hopkinsons Place, NW1 8TN. Meet at 7pm. Admission is £4 (including a complimentary drink). This should interest anybody who would like to see a modal shift from road to water and Gerry will be talking about the canal's future as well as its past.
