On Sunday 6th September thousands of visitors will be heading to City Road Basin to enjoy the Angel Canal Festival. Admission is free and the festival will be open from 11am to 5pm.
The Friends of Regent's Canal will be manning a stall on the main towpath near Crystal Hale's plaque. The nearest street access will be via the steps at Wharf Road Bridge. We will be promoting a canal heritage project and the work of the London Canal Volunteers and we will be raising awareness of topics such as the redevelopment of Camden Market and the Camley Street visitor centre. This is an excellent opportunity to meet fellow canal supporters so please visit us if you can.
Further information is available on the festival's website - http://www.angelcanalfestival.org/
If you are unable to join us on Sunday then the next planned event is our public meeting at the London Canal Museum on Wednesday 23rd September. Please contact me with any suggestions for the agenda.
Best wishesIan Shacklock
