Subject: Friends of Regent's Canal - public meeting tomorrow (Wed 10th Sept).

Dear Friends,

Our next meeting will take place at the London Canal Museum at 7pm tomorrow.

Details of the venue and a provisional agenda are available on this web page:-

We will be discussing some of the anti-social activities that are frequently reported to us and that are hampering our efforts to promote the canal.

We will also be discussing projects and opportunities for cleaning up litter on the canal, using groups of volunteers, and we will hear updates on the mooring situation in London.

On the subject of anti-social behaviour, it is worth noting that tolerance levels are often lower on the towpath than elsewhere in the city because visitors expect charm and tranquillity along the canal and a very slow but steady pace of life. Arguably, anything that threatens this slow pace could be perceived as anti-social and we can discuss whether certain issues are exaggerated or whether the complaints are justified.

Please contact me if you would like anything announced at the meeting or added to the agenda.
