Here are some more dates for your diaries.

Saturday 24th August, 11am to 5pm. The Islington Boat Club is open for another family fun day at City Road Basin.

Sunday 25th August, 10:30am onwards. The Canal and River Trust is offering a free walk and boat trip through the Islington Tunnel. Meet at City Road Lock.

Sunday 1st September, 11am to 5pm. The Angel Canal Festival at City Road Basin.
The Friends of Regent's Canal will have a canal-side stall, so please reply to me if you want to take part in promoting canal-related activities and projects.

Saturday 7th September 2013, 11:40am onwards.The Great River Race.
An annual River Marathon from Greenwich to Ham (just above Richmond). Hundreds of competing rowed boats (no engines) of all shapes and sizes.

Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, 11am to 5pm. Slough Canal Festival.

Wednesday 11th September. Next public meeting of Friends of Regent's Canal. Details to follow.

Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2013. The Mayor's Thames Festival.
A great weekend event along the Thames from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge. Stalls, events and entertainments stretching along the South Bank. The waterways feature, the Blue Ribbon Village, is at City Hall beside Tower Bridge.

Saturday 21st September, 12 noon to 5pm, CHUG are welcoming the public to another open day at Kingsland Basin, Hackney.

Sunday 22nd September, 12 noon to 5pm. The Hidden River Festival.
Finsbury Park N4. Celebrating 400 years since the completion of the New River.
