Subject : Friends of Regent's Canal - Three Day Canal Festival at Little Venice this weekend

Dear Friends,

I would like to remind you all about the Canalway Cavalcade this weekend. This will include a colourful display of about 150 narrowboats from all over the country.

This festival will take place at Little Venice, and the nearest tube stations are Paddington and Warwick Avenue. Please click on the following link for further information.

This is a great opportunity to meet leisure and trade boaters from across the network and to compare notes with volunteers from the Inland Waterways Association (IWA) and other organisations. This event is particularly useful for those of you who cannot attend our evening meetings.

For those of you who are interested in architecture, or simply curious about why some of us are so protective about heritage buildings, this is also an opportunity to wander around the Paddington Basin Regeneration, to discover the types of buildings and retail outlets that many of us do not want to see replicated along the rest of the canal.

The Friends of Regent's Canal will not have a stall at this festival, but you are welcome to drop in at the IWA stalls to make general enquiries.

Best wishes,

Ian Shacklock
Chair, Friends of Regent's Canal
