How might we use the space to promote the canal?

There are three areas inside the building that we can use for promoting the canal:-
  • The exhibition space just inside the main entrance
  • The interior walls, which are being made available for graphical displays
  • The community seating area, which can be reserved by local groups for canal-related meetings

The Exhibition Space

This dedicated space was requested by Camden Council in order to address concerns about congestion and conflict in the shared area.

Its approximate dimensions are 10ft x 7ft.

This extra space was achieved by moving the serving counter about 7 feet westwards and sacrificing some tables and chairs.

The Interior Walls

Several of the interior walls will be reserved for canal-related displays.

Here are some suggestions showing the type of information that can be put on each wall.

Community Seating

There is a reservable area in the far south-west corner, that can be used for groups of up to 9 people.

This should be suitable for informal meetings provided that background noise levels are not too high.
