Redevelopment proposals, June 2019
In June 2019 some redevelopment proposals affecting Kingsland Basin were unveiled. The proposals include an 8-storey building with a roof terrace at the only location where the eastern sky provides early morning sunlight to the basin. Environmental campaigners are concerned about the negative impact on wildlife due to the extra shadowing, anticpiated noise levels and light pollution during hours of darkness.
