Meeting point

I shall be waiting at 10.00am and again at 1.30pm in the main foyee/entrance of Angel tube. I shall be wearing a blue t-shirt and high viz so shall be very obvious. We shall then walk 5 minutes down to the canal.

What we’ll be doing

We will be prepping and painting City Road Lock by City Road Basin and the ‘lockup’ next to it. We shall also be planting up to 30 small plants in the corner plot by Frog Lane Bridge just next to where we moored the last time we were in Islington back in May. There is also a small bit of vegetation cut back. We will have the support of my colleague Paul and his boat.

What to wear

Please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirt or paint on. Please wear suitable footwear: ideally walking boots with a hard sole (to protect you from sharps) or wellies, especially if you are planting.

Depending on the weather remember to bring wet weather gear or suncream/hats as the site is very exposed. There will plenty of cups of tea and coffee on board the boat though.

Look forward to seeing you!

Kind regards,
Becky
