Christian Wolmar's "Ideas for London" Conference
On Saturday 14th June 2014, Christian Wolmar led a series of discussions on housing and transport. Christian has been associated with the Friends of Regent's Canal since June 2011 and he is aiming to be selected as a mayoral candidate.
Questions were raised from the floor about using the river and canals for freight. It was clear from some of the panel's responses that a lot of people still understimate the waterways' potential for taking the strain and danger off London's streets. Christian has agreed to study the Blue Ribbon policies of the current London Plan and to understand why the current administration might have ignored them.
