Walk to School event – Wednesday 24th October 2012

The Canal and River Trust and Living Streets are arranging a "Walk to School event".

Wednesday the 24th October, from 7.30am to 9am at City Road Lock, N1.

This event will include:

• Towpath Rangers on the Towpath from 7.30am decorating and handing out new The Greenway Code for Towpaths maplets
• A Café open day - Martin, the applicant for the proposed new café, will be serving a few teas and coffees and showing people round the premises to see the improvements so far.
• A led walk in the morning with some press calls and a Lollipop Ranger around 8.30am
• An afternoon event around 3.30 with the school PTA to discuss the Community Garden and maybe setting up some fundraising events to support it

Walkers, cyclists and other Friends are welcome to join in for some the photos.
The local press are all lined up and the Guardian Bike Blog will be covering it too.
