Camden Biodiversity Workshop – Friday 12th October 2012

Message from Kate Mitchell, 28th September

I am writing to invite you to a workshop to discuss the future of biodiversity work in Camden. The current Camden Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) is due to expire at the end of 2012 and Camden Council would like to draw on your expertise and knowledge of the borough to help us to identify the priorities for the next iteration of the BAP.

The final agenda and further information will be provided nearer to the event, but issues to be discussed will include:

  • What are the current biodiversity priorities in Camden?
  • How can biodiversity help us to address other social priorities in Camden (e.g. employability, health, community cohesion)?
  • Who is best served to deliver on different aspects of biodiversity work?
  • How can we support volunteers and ‘Friends’ to deliver biodiversity conservation and enhancement?
The workshop will be held between 10am and 12.30pm on Friday 12 October at the Waterlow Park Centre, Dartmouth Park Hill, N19 5JF. The venue has a limited capacity so please book a place by emailing kate.mitchell@camden.gov.uk.

I very much look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes
Kate
